Armored Doors

The first security in a building, be it for residential use or a commercial activity, passes through the door, which defines the boundaries between the internal and external space and the access method for people. Feeling a safe space is fundamental for the person and this is what an armored door can guarantee.

Today there are many methods by which a door can be attacked: manual, mechanical and thermal. The Bordogna Casseforti armored door is an effective protection in all three cases, thanks to robust models certified according to the European standard EN 1300 class B for key locks and EN 1300 class A for the mechanical combination.

The structure of an armored door

Armored doors have the following structural components:

  • Inner Panel and Outer Panel. They define the aesthetics of the door.
  • Gaskets.
  • Lock. The component that guarantees safety most of all, being the one that distributes and establishes the opening and closing of the door and, consequently, access to the housing structure.
  • Sound absorbent.
  • Body. It is the mobile element of the door on which the lock is installed.
  • Zippers. They are functional for opening the door.
  • Frame. The most important part of the armored door in terms of safety, being in direct contact with the wall.
  • Subframe. It is a connecting element of the door.

Bordogna Casseforti’s armored doors feature all these components with quality materials such as manganese steel to protect the mechanisms. Furthermore, fixed bars are provided inside the door with anti-tear function and automatic re-locking systems.

Bordogna Casseforti’s armored door models

Bordogna Casseforti’s armored doors are cutting-edge, thanks to the constant evolution of the technical and operational structure of the company, founded in 1943. The security door is made by Bordogna Casseforti according to three design lines:

  • Atlas. A line of armored doors designed for those who have chosen to store their valuable goods in an armored room, designed for both private homes and professional structures. The door features a multi-walled construction, capable of resisting attacks made with mechanical and thermal tools. Quality is guaranteed by the European EN 1143-1 certification from level I to level III.
  • VD. An armored door that has the added value of being fireproof, as attested by the EI 60 and EI 120 certifications. To these it is necessary to add compliance with the European standards EN 1143-1 from level II to level VI EX. A line of armored doors designed for use in private and professional homes and armored rooms.
  • Titan. A security door that meets the standards of European certification EN 1143-1 level VII. It is no coincidence that the name Titano was chosen, after the most resistant metal par excellence. A line suitable for professional use and safe rooms, where the locks meet the EN 1300 C standard.

All lines offer the possibility of installing a mechanical or electronic lock together with the key, the latter being particularly difficult to break-in as there are over 4000 combinations inside.
